Meet The Educator
Chelsea Davis is a certified elementary educator with a passion for helping children grow into confident, capable readers and writers. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Southeastern University with endorsements in Reading, Exceptional Student Education, and Teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL), graduating with honors for her academic excellence and dedication to education.
Chelsea brings years of hands-on teaching experience across both traditional and homeschool settings. She currently teaches Language Arts, Science, Grammar and Writing, at a homeschool hybrid school, where she works with students across multiple grade levels and learning styles. Her background also includes serving as a classroom teacher at Parker Street Ministries, teaching English Language Arts and Reading in Polk County Public Schools, and providing individualized reading intervention through private tutoring.
Through her tutoring, Chelsea specializes in creating encouraging, personalized learning experiences that help students strengthen foundational reading skills, build confidence, and develop a love for learning. She believes every child can succeed when given the right support, patience, and instruction tailored to their unique needs.
In addition to tutoring, Chelsea also conducts homeschool portfolio reviews, thoughtfully evaluating student progress while supporting families in meeting Florida homeschool requirements with confidence and encouragement.
Instructional Assistant
Amber Phillips is a dedicated homeschool educator who is passionate about helping children develop a lifelong love of learning. With 18 years of educational experience, she has served as a homeschool teacher, school volunteer, reading tutor, scout leader, substitute teacher in both public and private schools, and homeschool co-op instructor.
As a teacher, Amber strives to create a positive, Christ-centered classroom where every student feels loved, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential. She believes education should strengthen academic skills while also nurturing kindness, curiosity, responsibility, and a desire to serve others. Her goal is to help students become confident readers, thoughtful writers, effective communicators, and young people who recognize that their gifts and abilities can be used to glorify God and serve others.
Outside the classroom, Amber is deeply committed to her family, faith, and homeschool community. She has been married to a retired United States Marine for many years, and together they have raised three daughters. When she is not teaching, she enjoys reading, spending time with animals, volunteering, and exploring the outdoors. Amber considers it a privilege to partner with families in their children’s educational journey and looks forward to helping each student grow both academically and personally.
